Running Start

Running Start

Running Start provides a wonderful opportunity for eligible high school juniors and seniors 16 to 21, to attend college courses tuition-free, while completing high school.
Homeschooled students can go at 16 even if they are or are not pursuing credits.

Running Start is designed for students who are:

  • Ready for college-level work.
  • Motivated to take classes that apply toward both high school   graduation and a college degree.
  • Seeking academic challenges not available at their high school.

There are several area colleges supporting the Running Start program.  Each has an assessment for placement into to college level classes.  If you are pursuing a particular career path it is important that you investigate the colleges below as they all have different degrees available.
