Dear Edmonds Heights families,

We are sorry to say our new database, Vesta, will not be ready for you to input your WSLP in time for our state mandated deadline. This means we will need every student's WSLP to be created outside of Vesta and then later pasted into Vesta. We think we have a simple solution to this problem. The attached word document has directions and a format for your student's WSLP that will prevent any double entry on your part. Simply fill out the form for each student (A separate file for each student) and email it to your WSLP advisor, whose email is on our main website. You can also print it off and hand deliver it if you wish. The deadline is Thursday, September 9th at 3pm.

If we do not receive your WSLP by then we will not be able to enroll you for the fall and your student will be withdrawn from classes. The good news is that this is two extra days to get your WSLP done! The unfortunate news is that we had hoped to have to experience our new system right away. If you follow our template then when Vesta is ready for you to enter your WSLP you can simply copy and paste the information straight into Vesta. Perfect.

Aside from this hurdle, we look forward to seeing you at our Open House this coming Tuesday from 10-12pm. There will be Root Beer Floats served, our new calendar distributed (get your small version while they last!), and the start of our WSLP Face to Face meetings will take place. We will also introduce our new staff, open up classrooms for self guided tours, and Workshop Instructors will be in the Library for a meet and greet.

Remember, if you have not scheduled your WSLP Face to Face meeting through Vesta you need to! Just because we haven't called you to remind you that doesn't mean it's not important. Plus, once you get on Vesta and follow our posted instructions on scheduling your WSLP you will see how cool this feature is and consider how you will be able to use it for other appointments with us in future.

• If you dropped your student from a class you can now re-enroll them back in that same class.
• Budgets are still not calculating correctly.
• WSLPs access is delayed at this point - create your plan in a separate document until then and feel free to use our template linked above.
• If you could not see your student this error is now fixed.
• You may have seen your student move up or down a waitlist. As we fixed some registration errors (too many studens allowed into a class) it affected waitlists (went from 1st on waitlist to 5th) and we do apologize for the confusion! See Danny with questions.
• The class 'Smart Girls Tech Lab' has an error that prevents anyone from seeing the class or adding to it or dropping from it.
• The system will still kick you off at random times. This is related to the server our database is being hosted on, and we will be moving to a new server to fix this issue.
• Classes are listed as closed, which prevents you from requesting them, because they are full. The intention is that even a class that is full can still be requested, your student would end up on the waitlist, and classes would only truly close that have been canceled or that cannot take more students after a certain point in the semester. Please keep checking back to see if a class that was closed has been opened to take more registration requests.

The family budget portion of the new Vesta system is still under construction.  Reimbursements and Orders will need to be submitted by filling out the attached forms and following the instructions provided on them.  To start the year we will have to do this process in a more manual fashion.  Consequently, we will be able to accept 3 reimbursement requests per family in Fall semester and 2 reimbursement requests in Spring semester.
